I'm a 20 year old student at College of Southern Maryland (almost done with my degree) who has worked in childcare for over 4 years! Last semester I took 3 education classes to qualify for early childhood education, child growth and development, as well as group care of infants and toddlers. I currently work at a daycare located in Hughesville but am looking for a different environment, just for the experience. There I am a lead teacher of the preschool classroom where I have 17 students all together [so I am super comfortable with handling copious amounts of children :)]. Before moving into this room, I was providing for the infants as an assistant (before I took my education classes). Throughout the past few years, I have been with every age group from 6 weeks to 12 years. I have also babysat over 50 different children from the daycare since Read more I have been there. I truly love my job and I love having the opportunity to influence children in a positive way and teach them the many things I have learned in childcare over the years. Although I may have left the daycare once to work as a server, I eventually found my way back because of how much I missed the energy and environment of being around those kids!
