I recently moved to the Los Angeles area after graduating from the University of Maryland this past May with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In July, I will be starting a job at Sunshine Preschool in Brentwood, CA as their literacy teacher for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. I am looking for a way to make some extra money in the evenings and on occasional weekends. This past year, I student taught for a public school in Montgomery County, Maryland through my education program. I spent the fall of 2014 student teaching in second grade and this past winter and spring student teaching in a kindergarten classroom, where I completed multiple takeover weeks. I have been working with children since I was fourteen years old. For 6 summers, I was a counselor at Green Acres Camp in Bethesda, MD. As a camp counselor, I worked children entering Pre-K, Read more children entering first grade, and children entering third grade. I have also been babysitting since I was 14, working with a variety of ages and needs. In hight school and college, I periodically babysat for a family with three children, including twin six year olds and an eight year old. In college, I babysat for a 6 year old boy in the evenings, helping him with his homework and cooking dinner. Last summer, I babysat a couple days a week for a 4 year old boy with Autism.
