As an individual who is an advocate for perpetual learning and personal enrichment, I have intentionally participated in many programs and held significant jobs that make the opportunity to care for children one that permits me to further use the knowledge and skills that I have accumulated through valuable work experiences. The positions that I have had over the years working with children have certainly taught me little idiosyncrasies about them, but I have also learned a lot about myself. In interacting simultaneously between children and their parents, I have greatly strengthened my ability to articulate my ideas over a broader spectrum and have realized that establishing a rapport with youth yields the ability to support them in different areas of their lives. Outside of a professional setting, I grew up providing care for my younger sister and cousins whenever I was needed to fill the role of caretaker. The combined personal and professional experience I have with children has strengthened my interpersonal skills and made me very versatile when interacting with children of different personalities and backgrounds.
