As the oldest daughter from a family of ten children, I cannot remember a time when I was not babysitting. My mother was a very busy woman, so I did most of the cooking, cleaning and childcare for my younger siblings. I absolutely love children, particularly those in the three and under range. I think children make life happy. I lived seven of the last eight years of my life overseas in Myanmar where I spent my time caring for orphans. I also helped to start a small preschool. I have two children ages six and five who are well-behaved and friendly. Until school starts, they will need to accompany me at times. During my last year overseas, I lived in Thailand and was a member of an expat community baby sitting club. I cannot provide many references of people who I have babysat for in the U.S. as I Read more have spent most of my adult life abroad, but I can provide references of my friends living in Thailand who I have babysat for, as well as friends here in Maryland who know me well as a mother. I would love to have the privilege of caring for your precious child/children. I am hoping to eventually serve as a full-time nanny for some family in the greater DC area, and am endeavoring to increase my work experience as a babysitter for this reason.
