I took 3 years of Child Development,the first year involved me taking care of children age 3 to 5, and making lesson plans. The other two years required me to volunteer at a daycare or school. I volunteered my second year at Calverton Elementary School, in a second grade class (ages 7 to 8 years); here I also wrote lesson plans and helped with work. My third and final year of child development I volunteered in a kindergarten class (ages 4 to 6) and a preschool class (ages 2 1/2) in both of these classes I worked with the children on reading, writing, and comprehension, I also brought snacks to them. During one summer I babysat for a 8 year old girl, i made meals, helped with homework, bathe time and, put her to bed. I also watched my baby cousin and niece when I had the free time.
