Hello! My name is Alleigh Tucker. I'm twenty four years old and have had experience baby sitting and caring for children and infants since the age thirteen. I volunteered at my churches day care center from thirteen to seventeen, which is where I got my first bit of experience and was educated on the basics of child care(changing diapers, feeding, comforting, etc). At the age sixteen, I began to baby sit for families from my church community independently and then for their friends and so on and so forth. I was well established in my home town where I was babysitting most nights out of the week(couldn't do more than that at the time due to the fact that I was still in high school). Once I graduated, one of my first jobs was being a nanny for a family in my neighborhood(a 4 year old and a 2 year Read more old), whom I would actually babysit on weekends. Though some days came with their challenges, I loved my job, I love those kids and I love the lessons that job taught me and the experience that it gave me. I learned patience, responsibility and self confidence. I love being a nanny because it allows me to use my creativity and imagination in the work place, being able to teach the children(helping with homework, sharing, basic life skills) and most importantly, watching them grow.
