As a graduate of Towson University, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2010. During my senior year, I student taught in a 2nd grade classroom at Padonia Elementary School and a Pre-K classroom at Woodholme Elementary School. As a student teacher, I gained knowledge on how to create and implement lesson plans, how to properly differentiate instruction, how to use different methods of assessment, and how to create a comfortable learning environment for all students. After graduating, I worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher at The Goddard School in White Marsh. While teaching there, I created and implemented lesson plans, organized small group centers, communicated with parents daily, and was responsible for keeping portfolios on every child. Since August 2013, I have worked as a Kindergarten Assistant at Hampstead Hill Academy in Baltimore City. As a Kindergarten assistant, I work full time in a Kindergarten Read more classroom along with a lead teacher. I am the primary Language Arts teacher, and co-teach Math with the lead teacher. I am also responsible for assisting and sometimes leading daily activities, such as Calendar, Circle Time, Read Aloud, and all the transition times during the day. I love working with children and would love to help out a family during the summer months! I am available from June 22nd to August 21st, with flexible days and hours.
