Hi! My name is Sara and I am an elementary school teacher (Montgomery County) who loves kids so much that I even want to spend my evenings and weekends in their company :) The vast majority of my experience has been with infants, toddlers, and primary aged children (k-5). I have had over 20 years of experience: Babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, preschool teacher, special educator, and general educator. I work with kids; it's what I love doing. I have a dual degree from Hood College (elementary and special education) and I am beginning my masters work with a specialization in autism. I am looking for a family (or families, depending on scheduling) for tutoring opportunities (let's jump start those reading skills!), as well as, weekend babysitting opportunities. As the summer approaches, I will be free during the day as well for more "nanny-esque" daytime childcare possibilities. I love going on Read more outings (parks, museums, the library, etc.) or staying in playing games and crafting. The sky is the limit but I am most definitely an interactive babysitter - there won't be a lot of TV with me, unless requested of course! I am a current teacher with Montgomery County and I can assure you, we are given (and I have passed) a thorough background check and I can provide plenty of references.
