I am a first time mom and this was my first experience leaving my child (and dog!) in someone's care who is not family. I was scared! Estella's application for babysitting our 11 month old girl put me at ease right away and her willingness to meet us prior to the job was great. She was quick to respond via email and phone and was prompt for both the interview and job. Her disposition was calm, warm and sweet; our dog and baby girl took to her right away. Estella was so thorough she almost coached me along the way on what we needed to go over regarding home, food, timeline etc. My husband was present for both the interview and getting ready to go out and he said he was as calm as he could be leaving our little girl - for a doting, protective first time father that's saying something. We will most definitely work with Estella again as she was just perfect for our family.

Estella started sitting for us when my girls were ~ 6 months and ~5 yo. She very adeptly balanced both of their needs and fully engaged them in a variety of activities from hide-and-go-seek to playing Princess to artwork. She was very comfortable changing diapers and preparing bottles and always kept a mindful eye on our fast crawler. My oldest would ask very hopefully every week if Estella was coming on Sunday. Estella was one of the first sitters we used other than our au pair and I was of course very hesitant, but from the initial phone interview she put m at ease. She asks questions (which was a nice change) to be sure she was applying household and parent rules to maintain consistency for the girls. Estella is professional, organized, reliable, personable and loves kids. Finding a good sitter, especially in the DC area, is daunting and scary. I am very comfortable leaving my girls in Estella's capable hands and highly recommend her.

Estella is a great sitter. She has a warm, but firm manner that our son on the autism spectrum really responds to!

Estella has provided excellent pet sitting services for my beloved French Bulldog's over the past few months. She is a very knowledgeable and caring person and always on time. I feel very sure that my pets are in good hands while I am away. She has even provided the extra care for one of my pets that needs special attention. I can't give Estella a higher rating and would recommend her to anyone looking for a sincere and caring sitter. We have adopted her as a part of our family now.

Estella is professional, reliable and level-headed, and she connected with our cat the minute they met. While we were away on a trip she came to the house daily, spent extra time playing with the cat and took care of the house as well. Called me the day we returned to confirm we had gotten back - and was prepared to return to the house if we hadn't. Highly recommended!

Estella is a prompt, reliable, and warm caregiver. She is the first sitter we hired from this site about 5 months ago and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service she provides. Estella is a genuinely warm and kind person; she also gives off this really calm aura, which is something that my wife and I, being very frenetic, can really appreciate. She got along great with our four-year old and was one of the few babysitters that our daughter has admitted liking. One evening, when my wife and I were really running late, she helped our daughter with dinner and getting ready for bed. We usually don't ask babysitters to be more than playmates but Estella was wonderful with more parenting-type duties. In short, we completely trust her with Clara and we book her now whenever we want a night out for ourselves!
