Hi, my name is Kanita. I am 29 years old and I have completed my Masters in Early Childhood Education. I would say that I am pretty fluent in English considering that it isn't my first language. A little about myself and my experience with children: The most recent, since 2013 I have been taking care of 2 boys, a 3 year old and a 5 year old. In previous experiences, from 2011-2013 I was an au pair for 2 families with both families having 3 kids and the youngest being 9 months old. The other kids were at the time 2 years old, 9 years old, 10 years old and the oldest being 11 years old. I also have experience with newborns. I am also a pretty good driver and I have my own reliable car. Plus, I have a clean driving record. On a typical day, I drive Read more the kids for their activities, such as piano lessons, soccer, lacrosse, football, choir, swimming, play dates, summer camps, and even outings to the museums, zoo, and aquarium. I have also kept good relationships with the families and I am sure that they would be of assistance if you would like to have a word with them. As for cooking, I often cook healthy food for the kids, always adding vegetables and the occasional healthy snacks. I am also good with pets and wouldn't mind taking care of cats or dogs. A little bit about my history, after graduating from my Masters program, I was a teacher in kindergarten where I taught a toddler’s class and an infant class from September 2009-January 2011. For the most part, the infant class consisted of mainly playing activities, watching and helping babies develop physically, and singing lullabies & rhymes to them.
