I am a recent college graduate who is taking a break between college graduation and graduate school. I received a degree in European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, so I care a great deal about the world's diversity and cultures--especially the wellbeing of children around the world. I have also received a minor in Germanic Studies and public policy. I am a caring, honest, and loyal individual who loves children. In 2012, I was able to use my German language skills when I took a job as an Au Pair in Germany. While there, I watched a 2-year-old boy. I was responsible for creating and executing English lessons as well as daily activities. I worked around 20-22 hours week. I lived with my bosses and was treated like an extended member of their family. I cooked and cleaned for the family and I often went out of family excursions. Prior to my Au Pair experience in Germany, I babysat for my cousins on and off for around 2 years. I also had the responsibility of watching a family friends' daughters in my early-late teenage years. When I was a freshman in high school, I was certified in CPR, but I will get recertified if need be. I am also willing to get proper training and certifications if needed.
