I am the oldest of 13 grandchildren in my family, with everyone living within 45 minutes of each other. Growing up, I had countless hours of experience caring for newborns, toddlers, and children. While most of my experience is for relatives, I feel as though that allowed me to have even more time left to care for children, and gave me so many opportunities from the age of 10 or so, to learn how to look after a child. I was the child that always said my goal in life was to be a mom, and while my career goals were always changing, they always revolved around working with children. My end goal is to become a pediatrician, and I have spent time shadowing pediatricians and working in healthcare settings over the past year. I would love to become a nanny for a couple of years to get some real-life Read more experience before working with children in the medical setting for the rest of my life.
