I have been around and caring for kids since I was about 9 years old. My friend has had many siblings since a young age so we have cared for them since we were young. Around the age 12 my aunt started having children so I was around taking care of them since they were babies. I soon started getting paid babysitting jobs from my mothers friends and co-workers. I babysat often for one of her friends and her kids were about 3 and 9 when I started, the younger child has speaking disabilities so I have had experience working with kids with much higher needs than others. Another one of my mothers co-workers I sit for the boys were 2 and 4 when I began sitting. They are very active and rambunctious and we would play inside and run outside for many hours. I previously work at the elementary Read more school right now. I work with a 21st Century Program which is an after school program for children in grades 3-5 and I have mainly work with the third grade children. I have watched others at times, but this is the vast majority of my babysitting. I really love working with and babysitting children and that's why I do it.
