I am a passionate and motivated Ice Hockey Coach, Behavioral Health Professional and Children’s Targeted Case Manager with the energy to take on any opportunities I am offered. As a BHP, I am an active support for daily living/communication/coping skills for families and children. I have gained clinically supervised experience working with toddlers through late teenagers, and with various mental health diagnoses and developmental disabilities. I have been trained in understanding childhood development. I work with children on developing their age-appropriate skills, which often translates into me finding fun and exciting ways to engage with the children. As a CTCM, I research, link, and refer families to community resources to assist them with meeting their treatment goals. I am CPR/FA certified, and have logged many hours of mental health and child development training through working in these two roles. I am also currently a Co-Head Coach of a female middle Read more school ice hockey team. Passing on my passion for hockey is immensely rewarding. I m responsible for planning practices, making lines for games, and planning off-ice team bonding activities, all of which need to be as fun as possible. Learning how to skate for the first time is difficult, discouraging, and can be physically painful, which makes it even more important for coaches to be energetic, upbeat and team-focused. I am a certified Maine Middle School Ice Hockey League Coach, and have a USA Hockey Level 1 Coaching certification. During my high school years I acted as a Nanny for a family with a 1-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. I spent much of my adolescence assisting in my mother's day care, a different local day care, babysitting cousins and neighbors, and being the oldest of three sisters. I also spent a semester in high school volunteering at the local middle school to tutor sixth graders in various subjects. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNH May 2015 with a dual BA in Psychology and Justice. I play guitar and sing as hobbies, I play pick-up hockey, I encourage creative play, and I sincerely enjoy working with children. Please do not hesitate to contact me for my resume, college transcript, references, or for any questions your family might have for me. I look forward to hearing from you.
