I started working at a Day Camp for children when I was very young. I was trained as a Junior Counselor as a 14-year-old. From there I continued to work as a counselor and a lifeguard for 3 more years. I worked with groups of children and one on one. The campers that were under my care ranged from 4 years old to 13 years old. My duties involved teaching swim lessons, leading them in games and songs, providing a safe and fun learning environment, as well as having a great time. Other than working as a summer counselor I worked as a swim instructor during the school year, when I was in high school, and worked with a wide range of children.
