School will be getting out soon, need some help? I am seeking some babysitting hours while I’m off for the summer, I am flexible with hours, and willing to keep with sitting after returning to work for the right family :) For the last 7 years, I have been spending my days teaching in variety of different classrooms and working with several different age groups. I have worked in special education, and most recently have been running a youth program in downtown Portland. My classrooms have been integrated classrooms, most of which were typically developing—other needing individualized adaptions for a successful experience. Most importantly, all of whom learned and grew together, regardless of their needs. I have truly loved teaching more than anything, it has unlocked so much within that I never knew was there. I have always been a deep, very aware, thoughtful, conscious and loving person. People open Read more up to me and feel at ease. In the craziest of jobs coworkers have commented on how calm and grounded I am and seek me for support. I am a natural nurturer, organizer and leader. I am always someone who listens to my heart- in everything. Ideally, I would like to work with a family that is down to earth, conscious, open-minded , kind, fun to be around, good communicators and wants a nanny to support their children on that level too. I am an out of the box thinker, very creative, expressive and love to keep learning myself. I can provide your child with plenty of enriching activities that fits with what you would like for them. One of my greatest gifts is my ability to love someone for who they are, and where they’re at. I focus on helping them feel good about themselves and children need that sense of love and security more than anyone. I am also good at being lovingly assertive, as I believe that kids need some sense of boundaries and direction to feel safe in their high speed little worlds. My ideal family will appreciate my unique talents, experience, the quality of my presence, fun-loving silly heart, attention and care, and be in a position to pay me for my experience. I have excellent references and have many years of experience teaching small children. A clean driving record, reliable vehicle, trained in childhood development behavior, child CPR certified, and possess all the energy to keep up with your little one(s)! I also do not mind light housekeeping and loving care for friendly pets.
