Hello :) I have a passion for working with children. I have personal experience on working with children that have developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. I have previous experience doing after school care and tutoring for two school-age boys and occasionally working with an 11 year old boy with autism. I also have worked with a 7 year old girl and two siblings with Angelman's syndrome. Though the work is challenging, I find it very rewarding. From caring for my younger brother who has highly functioning autism, to baby sitting his neighborhood friends who had similar afflictions. I have also worked as a Behavior Health Professional and attended school for 3 years to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health and Human Resources. I am currently enrolled at USM in a Bachelor's degree program in Therapeutic Recreational! I have babysat children who have a wide range of behaviors, from outgoing Read more and hyperactive to ones that can have verbal outbursts. Most of my experience is with children that have Autism, Asperger's, and ADHD. I have helped teach children daily living activities and skills when I was working as a Behavior Health Professional. It is a joy to see them succeed! I have no issues with doing housecleaning to picking up around the house. I am currently CPR and First Aid certified!

Trisha has been absolutely amazing with my seven and ten year old sons. They are both challenging ADHD and were really struggling with socializing and homework at a group after school care program. Daily Trisha enforces a routine that has the boys excelling! With Trisha in charge my ten year old fourth graders grades have gone from C's and D's to A's and B's! The seven year old first grader is happy and enthusiastic about completing his homework assignments. Trisha does a great job keeping us informed on the kids efforts and attitude. She is extremely devoted to the children's well being and is always willing to go the extra mile to keep them safe and on task. In the four weeks that Trisha has been with us she has taken on some very challenging responsibilities and has relieved me of a lot of stress. I'm looking forward to working with Trisha for the foreseeable future!
