Recent graduate from Mott Community College with an associate degree in nursing, licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan. I have about 6 years of experience in child care with several families and ages varying between 6mo and 14 years. I was responsible for preparing meals, night time routines such as bathing and reading, waking the children up in the morning and getting them dressed and ready for school, and occasionally transporting them to and from school and extra curricular activities. I have also helped with homework and school projects. I am BLS/First aid certified through the American red Cross and received some education and experience through school with pediatric nursing and child development. Tessa has taken care of my son several times. She has always arrived on time or early. She was honest with me about not having a lot of experience with kids in diapers and asked if we could change one together, so she knew how I wanted it done. Now she is an expert diaper-changer! She is easy to reach on the phone or via text, so setting up or adjusting the schedule has been a breeze. She is good with my dogs and cats, and when my 16 month old was busy playing, she found the broom and swept up--not because I asked, but just because she saw that it need to be done. She is a real gem!
