Mandy D.

We first interviewed Mandy on the phone and knew she is a good fit for our family. She is very considerate letting us know what is best for us. When we met her in person, she bonded really well with us. She is really patient and encouraging, our little one really likes to play with her and have her around. When she throws tantrum, Mandy always has a way to comfort her and make her happy. We are very happy to have her around.

Hired Mandy to be our nanny. She was with us about 2 months. She was late multiple times (as much as 45 min twice). Called off last minute twice. She was amazing at playing with my 2 year old alone. She had a hard time with all 3 kids. Mornings overwhelmed her. She felt consistently overwhelmed by basic nanny responsibilities (cleaning up after the children and doing some (not all) kids’ laundry). Multi-tasking was not in her skill set. I never asked her to do extra things, while my last nanny was often asking what else she could do (during 2hr naptime). 2 of my kids are in full time school. In the end I started doing all the kids laundry to relieve some of her work. We both agreed it was not a good fit. We together agreed on 2 more weeks. She came for another week and then completely ghosted us. She was scheduled to come 2 mornings but didn't show up or even call. She blocked my caller ID so I couldn't contact her to see if she was okay/going to show up (I know bc when i call her via private number, her phone rings). She could have just quit with no ill feelings at all (and no negative review). I dont understand the immature and irresponsible behavior at all. Now I feel obligated to other families to leave a review. When a family with two working parents is depending on you, there is no excuse not to communicate. I have been up front with her from the very beginning. Completely understand it was not a good fit. She would be more appropriate for babysitting in my opinion, or perhaps a nanny for 1 child. I could say more.

I have nothing but praises for Mandy. She is caring, professional and very thoughtful. Mandy is terrific at getting my son to sleep with a story and takes the time to share (with me) what they did and even what they talked about while I was away. We adore Mandy... just wish we'd found her sooner!!

Mandy cared for our 2-month old son for a date night and did a great job. We came home to our son sleeping peacefully on her chest listening to classical music. I look forward to another date night knowing I have a reliable and trustworthy sitter. Coral

Mandy just started sitting for my 18 month old girl, so far she's wonderful. We came home to a clean toy area, a sleeping baby and notes on the evening letting us know of times and events. Our little girl really seemed to enjoy Mandy and even slept in the next morning! We are looking forward to having Mandy as our go to sitter!

Mandy has babysat my 3 year old son. He fell in love with her the first time he met her and was super excited when she came to watch him. He even requested that she put him to bed, which is really something for him. They had tons of fun and talked about her a lot the following day! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
