As the daughter of a middle school teacher and an older sibling in a family with 6 children I have had a lot of experience caring for kids. In highschool, I was enrolled in a class that required me to assist in teaching 3rd/4th grade split elementary school aged children. For weeks, I shadowed the teacher of the class and learned from them before I stepped in and created a lesson plan of my own which I taught to the children. My other duties in the class involved reading individually and in small groups with the children in order to assess their reading comprehension and abilities. I have experience babysitting infant children as well. My sister recently had a child and I have had to babysit him on multiple occasions. My duties in this position included: feeding, burping, changing diapers, and playing with the child. I am comfortable around pets Read more as I have three cats of my own and have had multiple dogs in the past.
