Dear Salvation Army, Pleased to meet you, my name is Janel Dykstra. My husband's name is Chris Dykstra, we've been married for 20 years, and we have three children together, three daughters aged 16, 14 and 12. I'd like to work this babysitting project with my 16-year-old daughter Michelle. My daughter Michelle has been volunteering at an Outreach Ministry Church called Pathway Church in Byron Center for 3 years now. She works a few Sundays each year in the nursery, and she has worked in the Little Lambs/Children's Worship with preschool-aged children. Michelle has also volunteered for 2 years with a one-week Vacation Bible School with first graders at First Christian Reformed Church in Byron Center. She is terrific with her nieces and nephews. Michelle gets all As, A-'s and has only one B in school. She played Softball at Byron Township Little League for 5 years, and watched all Read more the children for us when at her sister's softball game, without being asked. Her driving skills are impressive. If I drive there, she'll drive home, if she drives there, I'll drive home. We love driving together, and she's a terrific navigator. I have been a stay-at-home mom for 16 years. My three children go to Byron Center Christian School, but don't hold that against me! We're not rich, just trying to walk the Narrow Road that leads to Life, like what Jesus said to do. I have done Playground Duty and other volunteer work at Byron Center Christian School every year since the 2006-2007 school year. [I love all pets, large, small, every kind, but have a mild allergy to cats. I have no pets except fish, so anyone who has a severe pet allergy can stay healthy around me.]
