I am Christena Ann Cathey and I am a step-mother to my six year old son, and have a little baby girl coming very soon!! I am also the eldest of 6 siblings and started my passion for caring/sitting when I seen my mother struggling as a single parent. I was about 11-12 when I started over night sitting. I have always found joy in lending a helping hand, since I was very young I've had a skill with children; a sense of understanding so it seemed. Starting off with my siblings then later making a job of it, friends and other family members started requesting my service. I realized then that being a care giver seemed to be my passion!! I find it most rewarding to be a parent, and with (dare i say) spare time on my hands I am here for the families and parents who may Read more need a little extra help. I know the struggle of work, school, family time, meetings, extras etc. let me tell you all is not lost!! I am currently watching two girls 4 and 7 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday just to make parents aware. I have no problem with adding your joy's to the scene! They are just great girls and so well behaved, We say the more the merrier lol Park trips are a lot more fun with your mates! I am able to watch up to 5 children at the moment Mon-Friday and times can be discussed accordingly. I live near the Charlotte public schools but with school being out soon that probably won't be a huge concern. I do enjoy babysitting at my home, I have a fenced in back yard and live by oak park and MI works and my kiddies just love taking trips to the park! I have 2 cats and a dog, let me assure you these 3 are the biggest babies of them all lol Very, very kid friendly(buuuut I do tend to keep them outside more so than not for space and allergy reasons). I am willing to make some adjustments for anyone who is open to it. Communication is a really big thing for me, I like to make sure everyone feels secure!!
