Hello! I am Anna, a 23 year old recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University looking for part time child or pet care work. Starting at about the age of 12, I grew up as the neighborhood nanny and pet sitter in my home town of Chelsea, MI. Throughout middle and high school I frequently looked after multiple children between the ages of 3 and 13. After graduating high school I decided to take a gap year before college, and ended up working as a teachers assistant at a pre school/day care in my hometown. I absolutely loved working with the children. Every day I found myself amazed at the wisdom, creativity, and (for better or worse) pure unfiltered honesty possessed by kids. Throughout college I worked at restaurants in Ann Arbor and continued with part time baby and pet sitting gigs in the surrounding areas, care jobs ranging from infant triplets to cockatoos. I have just recently moved to the Woodbridge neighborhood in Detroit with my boyfriend after graduating with a Bachelors of Science (major in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising, minor in Art) from Eastern this past May. I am currently working at a restaurant about 4 evenings a week, but am looking for additional work on off days and during mornings/afternoons. To provide some information about myself; I am a highly creative and reliable young woman with many interests. I love to bake, draw, write, design, garden, sew, sculpt, and read. I've worked in costume design, freelance photography, wine service, and retail. I spent much of my youth playing made up games, reading, and dressing up as my favorite fictional characters. Growing up with a musician father and painter mother, experimentation and hard work were always fostered in my home. Working with children is a joy, but beyond that, gives me hope for a future generation full of empathetic and innovative thinkers. I would love to be a part of your child's life and provide the care and compassion they deserve.
