I am a recent Masters-level graduate from the University of Michigan and University of Alabama with a passion for children and education! I love children and have worked with them throughout my life.  I have worked in my mother's classrooms throughout Michigan (we moved frequently due to my father's research experience), and I enjoyed supporting young children's growth through arts engagement at a YMCA. I loved working with newborns and babies at a Midwest child development center immediately before and during my college years. We integrated activities promoting gross motor skills development like block and color games, as well as reading activities, into the children's curriculum. I also worked with toddlers and children through age 6 at this center, incorporating music, science, social skills, and the arts into their daily routines. I have also worked with children ages 6-12 through University of Michigan programs in South Dakota promoting literacy and cultural Read more engagement, and in Killeen, Texas, involving science and nature play at a camp for children. I graduated with my BA on December 16, 2012. I was a high-performing student in high school and college, graduating valedictorian of my high school class and with a 3.9 GPA from my university. I also just graduated from Alabama in December 2014 with my MA in Health Studies with a 4.0 GPA. I am going to be in the Metro Detroit area for the next year as I pursue professional certification in my field. I am that conscientious, loyal, loving, artistic, and intelligent employee that you are looking for!
