Hello! My name is Veena Janardan. I am a senior at Grand Valley State University, graduating in April with a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences, and will be attending the University of Michigan medical school in the fall. Hence, I am looking for a summer job to help fund some of my living expenses for next year! While I spend most of my time during the semesters studying, during the summer I love to explore the outdoors and do fun activities and crafts, which is why I would love to help out your family in the summer and believe I would be a good fit and role model for your children! I occasionally babysit for friends and family, but my main experience with working with children is volunteering in the cancer unit of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. There, my tasks including caring for children ranging from ages 1 month to Read more 19 years, whether they are sick or healthy, and entertaining them for various amounts of time with games, books, or crafts. I have volunteered here for almost the past two years. This has taught me to be very patient with children and become familiar with the psychology of children of various ages so that I know how to keep them active and engaged.
