Hi! My name is Maddie and I am a student at Michigan State University. I am a Kinesiology major looking to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy. Although this career does not automatically pertain to working with children, I would love to one day specialize in pediatrics. I have worked at Milestones Child Development Center during the past three summers, and I really found my love of working with children there! I love being around children as they all have their own hilarious personalities, and I love to see their creativity during all aspects of play. One of my favorite things about working with children is figuring out and learning different strategies for dealing with a variety of different situations; I enjoy assessing these different situations, while then problem-solving with each individual child in a way that I know will click for their personality.
