Meet Kerrigen

  • Comfortable with pets
  • Has a car

Hello! My name is Kerrigen. Currently I reside in Lansing but I grew up and graduated in cute little town called Mason. Although I've never had any professional experience with babysitting or any certifications, I am very much experienced simply because I've grown up with many siblings. With me being the oldest. I have a 10 year old brother and 3 years old twin sisters. My brother has autism which has taught me a lot as a person and specifically as someone interested in child care and learning. I have come to understand that children with this disability need special attention and special communication and patience. Those qualities make it easier to build a friendly, comfortable, and successful bond with that child. As far as my siblings as a hole; They never had to go to daycare until I graduated and moved out on my own. So it's been an awesome Read more experience being able to watch them grow and learn so much over the years. I take a lot of pride in the fact that my siblings are partially the person that they are because of my leadership. Being a part time sitter is something that would come easily to me since I've grown up babysitting since I was 12 years old. I know that kids can be difficult at times, especially the young ones but attention and care is critical for children. I’d love to play the care taker role when parents, or guardians aren't able to. As a person, I am very easy going. It is important to me that people feel comfortable in my surrounding. I strive for being honest, caring, and kind. After I graduated I knew it was hard for my mom. For the first time she was having to accept and cope with the fact that she had to put her children in daycare with people that were complete strangers. Almost all parents go through that and it can be scary and stressful. That is why I assure all parents that I'll keep a fun, safe, and educating environment for their children. On top of being a sitter, I want to express my ability to keep things clean and organized. Not only would I be a wonderful sitter but after your long work day, school day etc, I’ll do my best to make sure that the parents are coming home to the least amount of stress. A peace of mind with happy and safe children. A clean and organized household. As well as any other requested chores being completed. My goal as a parents sitter is not just to build that great bond with their kids but to allow parents the ultimate gift; less time on after work to do lists and more time with their children.
