My name is Allison Hope Niedermeyer. I am 29 years old and caring for others is my gift in life. My training is as follows: CPR training on ages infant to elderly, First Aid training, and trained to follow Behavioral Care Plans (written by behavioral analysts). I have worked as a Direct Care Professional with physically and mentally challenged adults (ages 18 and up) for over 3 years. I was responsible for planning, cooking, and organizing meal plans for our consumers. We taught to behaviors, ensured the health and safety of all consumers, assisted in daily living skills, and ensured the cleanliness of the home. For over a year I was employed with a company by the name of Teaching Family Homes. My co-workers and I were in charge of healthy meal planning, outings, and activities for the children. I have also volunteered for many years. Volunteering in my mother's elementary school when I was young till the age of 18. In addition I volunteered in a day care for a semester of my senior year. At the age of 18 I enrolled at Northern Michigan University where I completed 2 years of college courses in Elementary Education and 1 year of courses in Developmental Disabilities. I truely believe in working with the parents or gaurdian to ensure the optimal care for the individual. I am focused on teaching, assisting, and maintaining the safety and health but also focusing on the happiness of the individuals and all family members surrounding that person. Everyone is special and making sure that people know this is close to my heart. I am looking for work in the surrounding areas of Schaumburg/Chicago IL or areas in/around Marquette MI. I am willing to relocate Pay per hour would be negotiable. Depending on area, number of individuals being cared for, and time spent transporting.
