My three older children are grown and pursuing degrees of their own. Although I have a Bachelor degree, I enjoy staying at home. I prefer to have children around because they lighten up everything. I must be mobile as I enjoy daily excursions which add to enjoyment and education of children. I have a young daughter (soon to be 11) who would also love a playmate. I would like to think someone would appreciate another child to pass the time with. I either have current or previous CPR and First Aid certification (it may have elapsed). I have been a strong school volunteer for 20 years. I have enjoyed my years being able to involve myself as much as I possibly could in my children's education by volunteering. My eldest maintains a record at his previous high school for college entrance exam scoring. I have taught WIC, managed senior center Read more activities, provided after-school programming activities, interned for summer activity programming, chaired school fundraising, ran a school carnival, painted faces at various school and disability events...etc. My activities were chosen because they enriched the lives of my children. They have extensive volunteer backgrounds as a result. I was fortunate to have been able to raise on the income my former spouse provided. However, I am now single and have been fortunate so far to continue my parenting style. I live meagerly and do not wish to trade my time with my final child for anything. My belief is that children should be exposed to as many settings as possible. I would do things like take them to an inner-city park and on another, to a more affluent residential park. We would consider the differences in casual conversations in my car afterwards. We would enjoy a bologna sandwich after an exuberant hike in the woods one day, on another day, we would experience fine dining to practice our decorum. I do not wish to pick up a child but, I would be willing to do drop off after a busy day of fun! If you do not want your child to sit on the couch while someone texts on their phone, consider my application. It would be a wise decision for your child's potential growth, while allowing me to remain at home doing what I do best as well!
