Greetings! My name is Katy, I am 25, with many years of nanny experience. I began taking care of children at age 8 as a mother's helper, graduated to a babysitter....and then nanny! I have regularly taken care of my 3 girl cousins, ages 16, 15 and 13; since their birth. I have also taken care of my three energetic younger brothers, 16, 12 and 8; since their birth. Additionally, I have several teachers whom I nanny for on an as needed basis. I also have a 5 year old daughter. I graduated from high school in 2012 and did a 9 month training course in medical assisting. Over the past several years, my experiences have included: *caring of a 3 month old baby girl several days per week. (summer) * working for a family on a regular basis for 7 years taking care of a boy (now 15) and Read more a girl (now 8). I did errand running; light housekeeping and meals; homework help; transporting to and from school and activities. They moved to Europe a few years ago, I joined them for a few weeks to help them settle in, and see the sights. *working for another family with 3 boys (11, 8, and 7) throughout the summer and school year. Duties included transportation, errands, meals, homework help and playing! * working with a single parent home with older children (16, 12 and 10). *working with a family with 4 boys, ages 12 through age 1.5 *medical assisting at a pediatric office *Retail counter at dry cleaner *Nannying for an 1 year old for the past 18 months. I like to be outside and active with kids. I am comfortable with pets in the home, light housekeeping and I have reliable transportation and a great driving record! I have worked for many families with multiple children. I help with homework, housekeeping, meal prep, organizing, transportation, pet care, and errand running.

My husband and I hired Katy to watch our 9 month old son (now one year old) several months ago. We spoke with her references who gave her fabulous reviews and hired her right away. Our son loved her and we felt comfortable leaving our little one with her. She was always on time and always friendly. Just under a month ago, she failed to show up for work one day. Both my husband and I were concerned as she'd never not shown up for work and we hadn't paid her for the week either. We called and sent her text messages, but did not hear back. It was a holiday weekend so we thought maybe she was out of town and did not have cell reception. However, the following week she did not show up either. We contacted the references she had provided at our interview, but they had not heard from her either. Since not showing up at the beginning of July, we've yet to hear back from her. She gave us no warning that she would be leaving causing us to miss several days of work and find child care on short notice. Nor has she made contact with us to pick up her last pay check. We were originally concerned that something had happened, however, it looks like she's been active on this website recently. We're not sure what happened, but whatever the circumstances, things were not handled properly. Therefore we can't recommended her services at this point in time.
