I enjoy outdoor activities including playing games in the yard, sports, camping, etc. I have always been very active in sports throughout the years: starting with t-ball through softball, floor hockey, soccer, basketball, pompon, volleyball, and band – drumline. Even in college I was an avid football fan, played summer league softball, and joined a dance team. Other activities I enjoy are reading, singing, playing games – board games, cards, kid’s games, etc. Working at Lollipops Child Care Center in the preschool room allowed me to focus on the needs of children in a younger age group. Director of the Westdale ASAC and Summer Program at Arrowwood included working with K-2 students in a safe environment and communicating regularly with parents. My current position as Preschool Parapro/Teacher Assistant in a GSRP classroom consists of working in as well as leading large and small group activities, co-hosting home visits and conferences, Read more and additional events such as family nights. A Bachelors of Science in Education Degree (Elementary Emphasis) and a Child Development major (ZA) provides experiences working with young children giving me the skills I need to excel as a caregiver. In addition I gladly use knowledge obtained from my Math minor (EX) to help others successfully achieve their goals. Through my Reading minor (BT), I also had opportunities to tutor students with reading difficulties.
