I am a 39-year-old mom of three children ages 16 years, 14 years, and 4 years. I love children and have been taking care of children of all ages since I was 11 years old. I have worked in formal day care settings, private nanny jobs, babysitting jobs, coaching positions, and also taught homeschool to my own kids for 6 years. In addition, I have taught many classes to classrooms full of students of varying ages at homeschool cooperatives. I am a non-smoker, very health conscious and active. I have been trained in first aid and CPR and am also a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) Certified through SafeKids Worldwide. I am looking for a special child to welcome into our family while their parents are working. I can watch children in my South Lyon home, or at your home. I will do regular care or occasional/one-time care as well. Read more My youngest is 4 years old and would LOVE to have a friend here to play with during the day. I love to plan fun activities to do with the kids like play dough, baking projects, arts and crafts, games, fieldtrips, visits to the library, enrichment classes, outdoor time and more. We always have plenty of new books and I love reading to the kids. I provide the home cooked organic meals and snacks and a clean, safe, non-toxic environment. We live in a large, cheerful home in a child-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks and a park. Our home has tons of toys, books, games, puzzles, an indoor climber, indoor sandbox, gymnastics equipment, slide, swing, very large covered sandbox, enclosed trampoline, and even a beautiful heated inground pool in which I can teach swimming in the summer months. Of course we have all of the safety alarms, locks, and baby gates necessary to keep the little ones safe and secure. I have a great driving record, and will be happy to allow any type of background check you wish to have done.
