I have worked with children since I was only a child myself. I started babysitting at age 12 and for the next 6 years developed a solid client list that I kept through my High School Career. I have watched identical twins, single children, children with autism and hearing deficiencies. I have experience watching four boys at a time and even 7 children at once. In High School I led vacation bible school for 1st-4th graders, serving as story teller, craft leader, and worship leader. I also taught the twos and threes class on Sunday mornings for two years at my church. I also volunteered at the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission and taught summer programs for children from 6 years of age to 16. In college I got involved with an inner city ministry called That Neighborhood Church where I helped lead elementary student classrooms on Saturday nights in order to Read more keep them off the streets in a rough area. I am great with infants, I am actually expecting my first at the end of this year and love the extra experience this job allows me! I was certified in CPR and first aid- I have not renewed the license but still am capable of caring for your child in any situation. I come from a family of nurses and have great common sense. I was a competitive swimmer and have taken life guarding courses however do not have the actual license. I am a strong swimmer and even licensed scuba diver, so if you have a pool or body of water, your children are safe with me. Overall I feel I am a great care provider. I love to help children think outside the box, have fun and learn while keeping good manners about them. I am a decent cook and phenomenal housekeeper. I guarantee when you come home, your place will look perfect.
