I have 10 years of experience as a nanny. In addition to one part-time nanny position, I have several years working as a part-time babysitter for a couple families during my high school and college days. This experience and the fact that I had three younger siblings, two brothers and a sister to care and cook for have helped me develop exceptional child caring skills. I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny/ babysitter.

Gabi worked for us for quite some time this year. She called off last minute often, was late often, and did not fulfill her household responsibilities. I kept her on longer than I should have because my youngest daughter liked her. After a series of screw-ups, I finally started looking for a new babysitter when she unintentionally caused a flood in my house (flooding occurred all day without her noticing) and disrespected me after I spoke to her about her responsibilities. When I dared to talk to her about improving her performance because she was late again, she got an attitude and said that she didn't need this job anyway because she has 3 other jobs. I wonder why she is looking for another job then? Please be aware that she feels very entitled in general, wants a lot of money for minimal work, prioritizes her many other jobs over yours, and is very immature and unreliable. Hopefully, she learned valuable lessons with us so she will be a better babysitter for another family.
