Hi! My name is Anna and I am looking to find a family to join for the summer as a nanny. A little bit about me... I grew up in Big Lake, Minnesota with my mom, dad and older brother. This is where I will be living over the summer. I graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul last May. My major was Sociology with minors in Education and Linguistics. I was recently accepted to a Master's program in Sociology at York University in Toronto, so I will be moving there to start my next chapter in life at the end of August. Some of my favorite things to do are rollerblade, go for walks with my dog, read, play tennis and travel. I'd love to be able to spend my summer doing lots of fun activities with some cool kids! I have always loved spending time with kids and Read more getting to feed off of their youthful energy. Kids can help remind you to enjoy the little things and not to take life too seriously. But on the other hand, some of the most compassionate and insightful people I've ever met have been young kids. Often times they have more capacity than we give them credit for. Getting to spend time with kids and watch them grow and develop is one of the most rewarding things I've been able to experience. My experience as a caretaker includes babysitting my younger cousins, now ages 9 and 12. I also was a summer nanny for 16 month-old twin boys in the summer of 2015. My time as an Education minor has also allowed me to spend time in multiple elementary level classrooms as a teachers assistant. I am currently living in Huaraz, Peru serving as a volunteer tutor for kids ages 6-15. I am available to start working in June and can do Monday-Friday.
