My name is Kate and I love working with kids. I have been a summer nanny for 3 families (one with a child with special needs) before college and am now graduated and looking for a new family to work with. I have my first aid/CPR certification along with a course in babysitting I completed as a teenager and have reacted quickly and calmly in past crisis situations. I am a recent college graduate with my Bachelor of Science degree in management; I also attended college for art (with a concentration in sculpture and 3D design) for 4 years. While in college I worked as a house cleaner and in an office environment, because of easier hours for my class schedule. My most recent experience was taking care of two boys (7 and 4), including a week this last April while their parents were on vacation. Some of my favorite Read more activities include camping/hiking, gardening, swimming, painting, reading, cooking, and sewing. I strive to provide care that is both educational and fun, whether we're hiking while looking for a particular type of wildlife or creating in the kitchen, I believe children learn best by exploration and hands on experiences. I pride myself on the fact that I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty and will try almost anything as long as it's safe.
