Hello! I am 19 and a Junior at the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University majoring in Art/Communication (I haven't decided yet!). I am the oldest of four kids (my brother has mild autism and ADD), so I grew up taking care of my siblings while my mom worked. I started taking care of my siblings when I was 8 years old. During high school, I watched my neighbors children and volunteered at elementary schools. I tutored students and helped out in my best friend's mom's first-grade classroom. Over the past two years, I gained experience in the classroom because I started out studying Art Education. I did my service learning at KidStop where I helped students with homework and arts & crafts activities, worked closely with young students when I shadowed teachers, and volunteered at Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City this past spring break working with 4 year-olds. Some Read more courses I took this year include Educational Psychology and Human Growth & Development. I would describe myself as creative, bubbly, caring, and outgoing. I enjoy art (drawing/painting/ceramics), dancing, singing, and cooking/baking (I would like to open up a bakery one day!). I am also available to clean and organize whatever is needed in your home. I love working with children because of their energy, honesty, and creative imagination!
