I am currently a graduate student studying Audiology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Psychology. There I have taken numerous courses in child development, psychology and learning. I love working with children! I was able to apply what I learned in my classes at Stevens Point in my position at Wisconsin Lions Camp where I worked for three summers with populations of children and adults with intellectual deficits, blindness and visual impairments, deafness and hearing loss, diabetes, and epilepsy. Through camp I was able to gain a basic understanding of American Sign Language and can carry on a basic conversation. I have also obtained and kept up a certification in lifeguard skills. I spent time volunteering at the Washington County Humane Society when I lived at home and now own a pretty little fireball of a cat named Nyra. I am an understanding, compassionate person and I understand that each child is different and requires care specified to them. I am willing to learn anything about your child and the equipment they may need in order to provide the best care I can for your loved little one. I am currently available all day on Mondays as I do not have class on that day. I am also available other times of the week depending on my class schedule. On Tuesdays I am currently available in the afternoon and evening, Wednesdays in the morning and evening, and Thursdays and Fridays in the evening. My schedule will change next semester and will be extremely open in the summer. I am expecting that I will continue to be available in the evenings even when the semester changes. Something else you may want to know is that I do not have a vehicle. I do have a public transportation pass that can get me where I need to go.
