Though originally from Maryland, I graduated from Carleton College this past June and am excited to now be settled in the Twin Cities. I currently work for the Oliver Kelley Farm as a historic interpreter and researcher. When I'm not leading elementary and middle school field trips at the farm, I teach swim lessons at Foss Swim School to kids aged 3-8. I first began working with children several years ago when I was a counselor at Camp Waukeela for Girls in the White Mountains of New Hampshire (think "The Parent Trap"). For two summers, I supervised and entertained a cabin of four girls (11-14 years old). During the day, I taught swim and dive lessons, organized camp-wide games, planned themed holidays, and sang endless songs in the dining hall. Now that the weather is getting cold and fewer field trips are coming to the farm to help weed and Read more plow the frozen ground, I am looking for occasional babysitting jobs to fill my time.
