Hello! I'm a recent college graduate in the process of deciding what I'd like to do for a living. I have worked as a grassroots organizer, a social science research assistant, and a tutor. Over the past few years I've worked with kids both one on one and in group settings. Most recently, I was a day camp counselor on an educational farm for elementary school age children. I lead outdoor activities on gardening and farm animal care, and also spent time with the kids more informally (playing games, drawing, playing outside). Through this experience, I learned basic skills like first aid as well as how to capture the kids' attention and help them have fun. I have also been a tutor and an after-school homework helper, and have baby-sat kids ages 2 through 6. I went to Montessori school and believe in allowing kids' spirits and intrinsic motivation to Read more direct what we do, and try to provide some structure to allow that to flourish.
