Hello my name is Simone Davis. I graduated from DePaul University in Chicago in 2011. I love kids. I started babysitting my younger cousins when I was about 12 or 13. I worked for two years at Southwest Community Ed. summer program where I was a teaching aide for various summer program classes (we also did a lot of outdoor activities and games.) I taught many cooking, art and sports related classes. I also nannied 3 girls ages 5, 7, and 9, for a summer. I was also frequently babysitting for my former boss from - she has a 3 year-old and a 18 month old. I have watched both of her children since they were born. I was also referred by her to her friend who has a 3 year-old and a 3 month-old. Additionally, I have found two of my previous nannying positions through this website. I am Read more comfortable watching kids of all ages - from infants to school age children. I have a car, so I can run errands or drive the kids to any appointments or engagements. I love being outside, but being inside and making up games and using your imagination is just as fun! After working for a small interior design studio for almost 3 years, I recently decided to move back to Minneapolis after receiving my certificate in interior design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Simone has been a part of our family since before my older child was born. She worked for me at my small retail store, and was entrusted with everything from opening and closing the store, to cash transactions, to managing the store in my absence. Once I had my daughter, who is now 3, I asked if she would be interested in babysitting for us, because I knew she had previous childcare experience and because I was closing the store, I wanted to help find her another temporary (or so I thought) position. Little did I know that she would still be with our family years later, and also become a part of our family. She watched my daughter from infant through her current toddler phase, and is also now in charge of the care of my younger child (a son), who is about to turn 1. So she has been through 2 newborns through their infant and now toddler phases. She has watched them for us overnight, she has come with our family on vacation, and has done everything from house-sit, to drop us off and pick us up at the airport in our car. I can honestly say that she is one of the best people I know - she is kind, caring, RESPONSIBLE, COMMUNICATIVE, honest, loyal, and just an all-around great person. She is proactive and is great about anticipating needs, and is also really great about following any specific instructions and requests you have for her. Any family would be so lucky to have her - I know we feel that way. And while I hate to share her time with someone else, I just don't have enough hours to give her and want for her to find a family that will love her as much as we do.
