Hey there! My name is Sarah, and I'm a current MSW grad school student living in Bend, Oregon. For the last five years, I've worked in international outdoor education and as a wilderness therapy guide, both abroad and in the US. Most of my work has been primarily with middle school and high school youth, but I also love working with little ones. As an outdoor educator, I have run multi-week outdoor adventure trips for groups of 10-14 teenagers at any given point, and as a wilderness therapy guide I work for a week at a time with up to nine adolescents per group. I'm from Minnesota and have spent a great deal of my adult life traveling and finding experiential ways to engage with the world, and I love learning about and sharing culture! I have intermediate Spanish skills to share. I have a NOLS Wilderness First Responder first Read more aid certification (one step below an EMT), and am an American Red Cross certified lifeguard. I also have experience administering medication and keeping kids safe in a wide variety of settings, both indoor and out, front and backcountry.
