I am a licensed school psychologist by day during the school year (if you're not familiar with school psychologists my specific role was mainly with evaluations and interventions for students with learning, emotional, social or behavioral concerns and consultation with parents and school staff). I have worked mostly with pre-k-6th grade students. I am looking for some summer child care opportunities and may possibly be available through December (Sitter City is not letting me update my availability at the moment). I love working with kids and would like to get some more home experience with babies, toddlers, preschool, and/or young school age kids. I have CPR and first aid training from work as an In Home Respite provider for a young man with special needs (Down Syndrome). I have not officially kept up the CPR certification but have completed the free refreshers on the American Red Cross website. I am Read more a good balance of safety first and fostering independence. I don't have a lot of in home paid child care experience but I do have volunteer experiences via Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Global Volunteers, and I've tagged along with a good friend of mine when she baby sat her niece and nephews from ages 3 months to 10 years. Most recently I've babysat for friends and friends of friends (1 year old; 3 year old and 6 year old). I am easy to train. I love board games and have many to share. I also enjoy going on outings and hope that is something that can be built into our routine. I prefer to care for one child at a time but with the right match would consider working with more. Pay is negotiable.
