I have been babysitting since I was about 13 years old. The first experience I had was within my family. I used to watch my younger sister (three years younger than me), whenever my parents weren't home. After a few years of that, I started asking people around the neighborhood if they needed a babysitter and landed a few jobs here and there. Mostly with kids all under the age of 8.
