My name is Ellen Beckman and I am a senior graduating from Lourdes High school. Growing up in a family with three siblings, Ive always enjoyed playing and spending time with my younger sister and older brother. I have frequently babysat for families since the age of 13. Last summer, I babysat intermittently for a family with two younger children ages 4 and 5, as well as a family with a two year old, 6 year old, 10 year old, and 12 year old. Both these families were full of energy, and I had a lot of fun spending time with them. I also love animals, and have no problem with taking care of and playing with pets. During my free time, I volunteer at the Friendship Place in Rochester that is a part of Olmsted Outreach program. Here I get the chance to tutor, cook for, and play with Read more wonderful children that come from less fortunate situations. Handling such a large group of energetic children has taught me how to deal with fun, but chaotic situations. In the future, I would like to go into inner city education. For now, I am currently working part time as a catering staff this summer, but would love to pick up some extra hours working part time as a babysitter or nanny.
