I love being a caregiver because working with youth is such a fun and rewarding experience. Kids are all so unique and I enjoy getting to know each kid I work with. As a psychology major, I feel confident in understanding and working with the cognitive and emotional development of different aged youth. Here are my qualifications: Summer of 2014- Nanny for a 7-year old girl Spring/Summer of 2014- Youth soccer coach for ages 5-10 Summer 2015- Tutor for ages 6-17 struggling with reading and/or comprehension Summer 2016- Created curriculum for middle-school students and worked at camp once a week for ages 6-12. Currently- Occasional sitting for multiple families Every Summer I volunteer at a camp for 7th graders. At this camp I act as both a role model and counselor for the campers. At this camp, they learn to celebrate themselves and their uniqueness, while also learning how to Read more fight peer pressure and be a good friend. I also have a lot of experience babysitting and caring for my 6 nieces and nephews whose ages now range from 1-7.
