I have always loved kids. Growing up I would always play "house". My younger brother and older sister would be my children and I would play the mom. That childhood passion continues and I dream of one day having many kids of my own. I started babysitting at a very young age. Mostly, Friday and Saturday nights, with kids ranging from 2 months to 10 years old. I had a group of about five families that I would babysit for on the weekends and I loved it. It wasn't until the summer in between my sophomore and junior year of high school that I became a summer nanny. I loved taking the three kids to the beach, museums, the zoo, to the park, or any other fun activity we planned for that day. In addition, that family had their kids do summer homework and I helped them stay current on Read more their school work. I continued with that family for two summers. The following summer, I was approached by another family that was just giving birth to their first child. She was born in June and I began nannying for her in August. This was going into my junior year of college. Throughout my entire junior year I nannied her, but unfortunately due to class schedule had to stop my senior year. Spending that time with her, watching her grow, building the relationship with her, was so special. The summer after my senior year, I was in between jobs and the same family was in need of a nanny for the summer, and I was so excited to be back with her. Spending time with her when she was a baby and then watching her grow into a toddler, was the best feeling. After that summer, I got a full-time job and was no longer able to nanny, but still babysat all the time. As you can tell, I have many years of experience with kids with a wide range of ages. I love kids of all ages and love the enthusiasm they bring to life each day.
