Hello my name is Mel, I'm a parent of 3 and hoping more in the future. I absolutely love to be around children because they teach us adults so much and it really makes me happy to see them develop mentally. Learning new things and voicing them is really what I love seeing in kids. I encourage them to ask questions. Whether it be new words, new gifts, new emotions. I love it all. I am very nurturing but I can be strict if needed. Strict meaning sticking to your rulebook. It's not in my nature to be very strict. I'm more of a organized, set schedule of events type of woman. I am comfortable with ages up to 12. My kids are 3,8 and 9. As far as discipline goes I do not do physical discipline, I take away toys, electronics, phones temporarily in the event a child isn't Read more behaving politely or has thrown a fit. Also I believe kids need to have breaks from electronics, have some good old fashioned fun craft making, outside time, movie time, exercise. So there's take away items, time out away from everyone and if that's not enough I call the parent. I am comfortable changing clothes and cleaning after them, changing diapers and making snacks.
