I've always loved being around and working with children. While I love children, I changed my major from Early Childhood Education to Accounting last year, because I just didn't agree with some of the changes being made to the curriculum I was going to be teaching. I was an Early Childhood Education major for two years, where I learned tons of addition childcare information. My major experiences babysitting started with a 5 year old girl in 2013. I picked her up after school, fed a snack, helped her with her homework, entertained her, and occasionally provided her with dinner. In addition to watching her, there would occasionally be a set of two twin girls that I was also taking care of. In the past 3 years I have had many other babysitting jobs. I watched a 3 months old from 8AM - 5:30 PM Mon-Fri the summer of 2014. I Read more was completely responsible for feeding her, changing her diaper and clothes when necessary, getting her down for a nap, and getting her started with her educational videos. I had an itinerary I was obligated to go by throughout the day, which helped her form a daily routine. I also have tutored a 12 year old and 8 year old in all subjects from 2014-2015. I have tutored a 10 year old boy majority of this year, in mainly Science and Math, and occasionally English and Social Studies. I volunteer at the Sullivan Literacy Center, where I tutor a group of three kids in the subject the need help with, and help students who have trouble reading become stronger readers. I am able to assist with homework, and tutoring. I am CPR and ServSafe certified. I have plenty of references available upon request! I am a full time college student, with a part-time job, just looking to make a little extra money to help make ends meet!
