Hi, I am Micaela. I'm a pediatric nurse currently taking a break from inpatient hospital jobs to focus on my pediatric nurse practitioner program. Most of my time for school is flexible, part-time and online and I'd like to fill in some time to help support your family and I honestly miss the kiddos I worked with. A little about me: I grew up in a small town in the midwest. My family is very large and we've always been very close. My fondest memories as a child are mostly in summer. I grew up right next to a park with a ball diamond and swimming pool. I was there either swimming, biking or playing a game every single day. I still try to spend a lot of my days outdoors, hiking or walking if I can. I love doing outdoor activities and still live for the summer. My passion Read more (besides kids & healthcare) is traveling. I have been to Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe. South America is still on the to do list. I am the middle of 3 siblings. I have babysat for 10+ years, but started changing diapers at 3 years old when my younger sister was adopted. I love babysitting because it provides me with a break from the stresses of adult life and I love developing relationships with children. I come from an extremely large family (60+ cousins) and grew up babysitting all of my cousins. I have babysat for a number of families since grade school and have worked in a daycare (ages 0-5) when I spent a year in Australia. I volunteered in college as a tutor for first graders and also at a respite care center for children with special needs. I worked at a babysitting agency and babysat for multiple families in St. Louis while in nursing school. I am CPR/first aid certified, a non-smoker, have a clean driving record and have proven to be dependable and reliable in a variety of jobs since I was 15. I have lots of experience with kids of all ages and with disabilities or medical conditions as well as normal developing kids.
